Sophomore Community Service Event
The CP Sophomore Team shared holiday cheer with the Tamina Community Center’s After School Program on Wed, Dec 10. First they made a stop at Russo’s New York Pizzeria to devour a 28” pizza (thank you to Chef James for the complimentary drinks). Before going to the community center, it started snowing and BAM! The tables emptied for some play time and a snowball fight! Next, they headed to the TCC with cookies and craft supplies. Upon arrival the children were excited to see them and immediately, everyone hit it off. They decorated Christmas cookies with icing, sprinkles and M&M’s. They created Christmas cards with markers, beads, ribbons and candy canes as the inner artist and poets came out in the players. Holliday spirit was everywhere and many new friendships were made. Kids and players all had a blast and the team hopes to go back soon to play basketball with their new friends.
Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.
